Comparing trailers

Shown below is my first attempt at creating a trailer for my film 'Deuces.' I have included any sound change, so it isn't realistic from a sound perspective. I have tried to include a lot of fades between shots so it disguises the editing and gives the trailer a good continuous flow. I'm happy with some of the shots which I created such as the over-the-shoulder shots and the mid-shots. The genre of youth crime was successfully shown to the audience I believe via the use of mise-en-scene because of the costume used such as hoodies and skinny jeans, which stereotypically link to youth's in todays age. The locations were done very effectively as well, dark, damp, run down locations like i said in my reece helped show the rough personalities the characters involved in the film have.

Comparing Harry Brown trailer - Below is a trailer which I would like to replicate, Harry Brown is a similar genre of film to mine. I think if I learn a couple of things from the Harry Brown trailer film then it will help me in making mine more professional. Firstly the trailer shows a lot of different scenes in the film, such as a fight, gun shots, a fire and police involvements. These help express the genre and make the audience more involved in the film. In my second draft for my trailer I will try to include more action packed shots, this will help show-off the film better and gain the audiences attention. The Harry Brown trailer also includes a lot of diegetic and non-diegetic sound, I need to copy how the non-diegetic sound builds up in the trailer to show the tension involved in the film.

Photo shoot days.

The pictures below are evidence of me doing make-up for the main character, I used a bold, black pencil under his eye to create a 'black eye' for some shots which I wanted to create, showing that he had been in a fight.

The pictures shown below are evidence of me producing footage to create my trailer, some photos below show me actually recording whilst others show some footage which I collected during the process of producing the shots I wanted to create for my film.
